@jb@nicecrew.digital Israelis want US bases hit because they want some heavy US casualties to inspire a wave of patriotic rage like that after 9-11, increasing support for another forever war. Problem is no one gives a shit about what happens in the middle east, not even US troops getting iced.

Though I doubt it'll quell the revolt against the GOP in the midterms, I don't think troops dying is having any more impact, negative (blaming Trump) or positive (hating Iran) than a nit on the nut of a gnat. If it does, the numbers will just cancel out. The rest of us just DGAF. There was no draft. They made their choice.
