@Lefoyenlibre@mastodon.social I understand your point about the word “crisis,” but crisis can also mean a serious situation requiring urgent action. Climate change is the long-term change itself; the climate crisis refers to the serious impacts and risks that come with it. The fact that it can get worse is exactly why urgent action matters. #ClimateChange #climatecrisisisNOW #biodiversity #planet

@Lefoyenlibre@mastodon.social Welcome, I am another one who was chucked out of FB due to my scathing comments on the tangerine tyrant when it became president. Bootlicking was already a feature in 2025, I am still feeling flattered 🤗 my comments have become reality to add insult to injury! 😂 @pacific06@mastodon.social

@Lefoyenlibre@mastodon.social Thats a weird definition. The climate already changed. A #crisis means that we have to fight catastrophic situations. The result of a crisis is not known. It can be better or bad. And: yes, it helps to prevent every tiny bit of more #globalWarming. It's an enormous difference if we live with 2° or 4°! Here we can get active! Crisis means a situation where we need urgent decisions More about the words: https://www.niemanlab.org/2019/05/from-climate-change-to-climate-emergency-crisis-or-breakdown-the-guardian-is-changing-the-environmental-language-it-uses/ 1/2 #climatechange #climatecrisis @pacific06@mastodon.social
