@etp@indieweb.social Watched a video yesterday on the imminent introduction of QR codes to replace UPC bar codes for product labeling in the US. One of the outcomes, reportedly, will be unprecedented traceability of food items and ingredients. Unilever, Walmart etc all on board already. Parallel operation will run for a couple of years at least, starting 30 Sept if I remember rightly.
