#FOSDEM will not have a DEIB room 😔 True to #DIY #OpenSource spirit we will fix this ourselves.
Support @Gina@fosstodon.org @elena@aseachange.com @RosannaSibora@fosstodon.org initial proposal for a DEIB room with the #FOSDEMPledge @janl@narrativ.es proposes:
Take a min or 2 to discuss the need for diversity, equity, inclusivism & belonging (DEIB) in your talk or have a talk on this topic in the room you organise.
For me #FLOSS is about people. Let's make sure everyone feels welcome & enable their participation in the FLOSS ecosystem. ✊

@BjornW@mastodon.social @Gina@fosstodon.org @elena@aseachange.com @RosannaSibora@fosstodon.org @janl@narrativ.es Ack. But also the CFP for 40c3 https://digitalcourage.social/@sl007/117482261044336850 Not only cause Hamburg :) The Congress has 16.000 attendees while FOSDEM is only 8.000 - 9.000 but in small rooms – and the Congress to me is much more diverse and including and the place where the magic happens.
