#Cats from my past, a thread/3 Lulu, who came to us as a kitten. I mentioned her in the previous toot. She was a sweetheart, quite sociable. And she loved Elmo to bits, they were best friends. Lulu got pregnant. We know it wasn't Elmo, because both him and Figaro had been neutered by then. But she hadn't been spayed, yet mom insisted she should be allowed outside, too. Despite what had happened to Muru. Anyway, she had met some other kitty on one of her adventures, and came home with a little secret. Mom suspected, but didn't want us to tell dad. I don't remember why. Lulu had four kittens. I was quite fascinated by this even, and watched over her the entire time. When she got too tired with the last one, I feared the fourth kitten wouldn't make it, so I helped her a little bit. The fourth one seemed like I had been too late with my helping, but with Lulu's meticulous cleaning and nudging, he did make it after all. And because of that I decided that he would be the one who got to stay with us. The other three of Lulu's kittens got new homes. In the third photo there's the fourth kitten on the left, Leevi in the middle and Alma, Lulu's lookalike, on the right. There was also Poju, who went with my other sister.

#Cats from my past, a thread/4 Masa, the youngest of Lulu's kittens, who got to stay with us. He was also a sweetheart. Really affectionate. I did have my own name for him, though, because I helped with his birth. I called him Tassi, after the Tasmanian Devil from Looney Tunes. Don't ask me why, I guess I just figured that would suit him. Masa had a bit of a gland problem. Specifically his anal gland 😅 Nothing overly bad, he just released his pheromone a bit strangely. And you could smell it. But really, it wasn't so bad. He'd insist on being on your lap, and if he was really happy and comfortable, you would know it. He got along swimmingly with Roy, the doggo in the fourth picture. I might make a dog thread after these, so more about him on that. Masa was probably the only cat who socialised with Roy, the others didn't really care. Masa and Lulu came to live with me for a few months after I had moved out from home in 2006. The day they arrived, it was clear Masa hated being in the carrier, and peed himself so badly that I actually had to do the worst thing and take him in the shower with me. In the end they ended up to a better home, together, as it turned out that living in an apartment building where they couldn't go outside was not something they enjoyed. I am hoping they got to live their best lives with good people.
