They did exactly what their human masters designed them to do, even if the humans claim to not fully understand the nuances or danger of the #AI #tech they had built. Stop giving the companies and people a free pass on the #liabilities (including #crime) undertaken by their software products. If McDonald's hamburgers started killing people (often a felony), we'd require McDonald's to stop offering hamburgers until they were safe, and hold who's ever responsible for unleashing that on us. If AI software is doing felonies, we should require them to stop and hold them responsible, especially if they are aware of the potential dangers (they totally are) and let it happen anyway.
