Oh, hey! Looks like the #KC-area for-profit electric utility has nearly doubled their "FAC" / fuel adjustment charge between this month and last. Messing with the FAC is a sneaky way for investor-owned utilities to influence the "all in" bill, without getting rate adjustment approval from the state's public service commission. Not that our PSC is worth a damn...
Ya know what doesn't need fuel? Solar and wind! Too bad our state has outright banned new commercial solar...

Speaking of BS fees. We've had a "2021 Winter Storm" fee on our bills for years now. "It must be about time for that to be rolling off" I think to myself as I look it up... 👀 The Missouri PSC has given them SEVENTEEN years to "recoup their losses" through this fee. WHYYYY ARE WE PRIVATIZING PROFITS, WHILE SOCIALIZING LOSSES?!?! #RiggedCapitalism #LemonSocialism
