@Wen@mastodon.scot Is it just me, or is that mooring line WAAAAYYY too short? If that has been tied at or near high tide, it would drop when the tide went out, with the line holding port and bow up, with the stern and starboard side hanging low, possibly even touching the bottom of the harbour. When the tide came back in, there wouldn't be enough surface touching the water forehead boat to float, so the water would come in over the sides, with the boat effectively sinking without too much damage. It should be easy enough to get it floating again (assuming there is minimal damage), but this means any credibility this person had to do what they said has gone tight out the window.
