Hi fediverse, need some advice. My partner has taken up the piano again after 10 years away from it. We are looking for a source of downloadable, printable scores, classical music mostly. We have come across a few and tried one or two using trials. The scores we downloaded were awful, missing flats and sharps etc. I suspect AI slop. So anyone know of a reliable source? Or shall we just buy the scores mail order... Thanks! #piano #musicscores

@SamanthaJaneSmith@lgbtqia.space Boosting ... Unfortunately I do not know where to go, but purchasing physical music scores is probably the best way! That said, I will have a look on Kobo later to see if there is anything there, they do have a very good range of printed material in epub versions ...

@SamanthaJaneSmith@lgbtqia.space For reasons I cannot remember, I was looking at this some time ago, and found that it is really difficult to get these. Probably because the market is a lot smaller than for contemporary music. I suspect you will need to go mail order from Boosey and Hawkes or similar. Assuming you don't have a music shop near you who might have them.

@SamanthaJaneSmith@lgbtqia.space you might've already thought of this (sorry in that case!), but I'd look at getting paper-versions second hand. At least so far there doesn't seem to much slop in that market.. >.<
