@vale@fedi.vale.rocks After all these years, when I think of it now all I think of is how they recently published more than one slop article from the same author, insisted in the comments that CSS-Tricks doesn’t use AI, and let the moderation queue swallow my reply. I already didn’t feel good about the future of the site. This is yet more bad news.

@shivjm@mastodon.social I’m aware that some other publications have published slop, but I don’t think CSS-Tricks has. I know Geoff would be most disappointed if it were published. I know that some actual authors have been accused of using LLMs where they haven’t, but I’m not sure if these are the same cases you’re speaking of. I can’t recall encountering any slop.
