VOY S4 E10-11 "Random Thoughts" and "Concerning Flight" Editor's note: Inspired by reading Shatner's memoir Star Trek Movie Memories, I binged the Original Cast movies, then came back to VOY: By Star Trek V, I was really starting to miss Janeway and Chakotay and the gang (might have just been that movie). I had stopped after "Year of Hell', so that was a good note. I came back to "Random Thoughts". The logline was something like, "B'Elana is arrested for her violent thoughts", and I rolled my eyes. Then the cold open starts, and it's my two least favorite characters, Neelix and Paris. Paris is giving Neelix romantic advice. I started getting nostalgic for the TOS movies. But it was an OK episode. It turned out to be a Tuvok-heavy episode, for one thing, which is always good. The "black market in violent thoughts" idea was clever. I think that Tuvok's big "you want violent thoughts? You can't handle my violent thoughts!" scene did not really work, but it was a good try. Then after that we get "Concerning Flight", which is a weightless lark of an episode, but it's my girl Janeway palling around with Gimli (and a little Tuvok), so it's fine. Voyager has reached that plateau where even the so-so episodes are a good hang. #VOY #startrek
