Also when I started picking locks a decade ago, I had vastly overestimated how risky it is. People basically don't care. You don't need to hide it or nothing. People just don't wanna get involved. I once had to pick the lock to a server room at Walmart. The night staff was cheering me on instead of asking why the hell some dude in sweatpants and a hoodie was breaking into where they keep all the sensitive shit that handles money.
