You've discovered a core lesson- something my own father told me when I was 13. He said to me that no matter how much I might try to assimilate, it will never be enough in the eyes of those that hate us.
I'd even take it a step further and say that this very assimilation is then used to harm us.
We see it as "They hide amongst us" or they use those that do capitulate (ie pickmes) as "You see, we don't hate all Jews" and use that to justify more hatred.

@serge@babka.social I knew about this but in this place at this point in time I really felt it (as much as a gentile can). I sincerely thank you for giving all jewish people your voice and for providing them a safer environment with Babka. I know this is a huge weight upon you and does take its toll. Thanks for all your support and kindness among us.
