Skipping the AI bullshit… having 1000x thoughts sucks because you can’t act on them. You can’t move or type 1000x times faster to do 1000x things. If brain-computer interface would let you not only think 1000x faster but also do things faster it would be… it might not be terrible.

It’s also a bit of a zero sum thing. My brain might have 1000x the normal amount of thought, but they’re not as well thought out, nor as complex, and it burns through energy to do it. Your energy reserves would go flat in three minutes, and then you’re nursing a headache the rest of the day.
