@alex@social.alexschroeder.ch being seasick sucks! Our sailing instructor told us, “you’ll feel like you’re dying and later realize with horror that you won’t”. I’m impressed she kept on, this takes some determination.

@antifuchs@weirder.earth I do remember crossing straits of Gibraltar on a sailing boat and throwing up every half hour until there was nothing left of me but shivers and cold. The whole trip from Portugal to Morocco was fine but on the way back, with a bit more waves, and me taking a poop, and handling that manual toilet pump, and then ... that was it. Ugh.
