@ww@xyzzy.link I gotta dig out that article that convinced me that REST is an absolutely useless term, but I couldn't find it last time I tried.

@emmy@transfem.social til that it stands for "representational state transfer". i've been writing restful apis for a decade without knowing this ^^; (it also sounds synonymous with the words api/rpc tbh.. kinda redundant if you think about it, any rpc transfers a representation of state..)
