What saves me is that I asked an econ professor for advice after one paper was desk-rejected thrice, and he said: "Welcome to economics"

Update: - Paper rejected - Reviews still pending - Somehow appeared without typesetting checks (but at least it's online now!) - Editors told us that it may even come out in May still
