Part of why my mind is so damaged is that I grew up with a shortwave radio in my bedroom. I overexposed as a child. 🤣 That radio would pull in the world for me. Stations would give a mailing address on the air. I could write and tell the date / time / and frequency of what I heard. The station would send a nice card back confirming. A QSL. Radio Moscow sent good swag. I wrote one time and asked for a city map, "just a cheap one." They sent it! Hilversum, Holland, had a fun station.
