Last night I went to see the documentary film NAZA. I already knew the 'what' and the 'why' of the genocide happening in Gaza, the heartache is always with us. The film gave us the 'how', again a lot of it is known, it more of a confirmation and a clarity of these things. What struck me the most though, as it always does, the damage done to the oppressors: to their soul, to their humanity. Not that it inspires pity, just sadness for the people who can finally know in their hearts the impact of what they have done, the cruelty of it, and the knowledge that they did it with full conviction and no empathy. I don't know how they will live with that. This is the result of decades of oppression, it is not a healthy society, these are not healthy humans. While we raise our voices from afar for justice for Gaza, for Palestine, ultimately it is only the oppressors who can save themselves. None of us can save them from what they have knowingly done. I'm sharing this election scorecard, because we still must do what we can. #FreePalestine #vote #Gaza #naza
