Dark - "Dark Round The Edges" (1972)

When I first heard this a couple years ago, I heard a spiritual kinship with Wicked Lady's 1970 fuzzy stoner rock epic, "The Axeman Cometh". Turns out Martin Weaver, lead guitarist and vocalist of WL, left that band to join Dark to record this record.
Cassette procured from local NM label Saturn Eye Records. Came with a nifty glossy photo of the band, signed on the back by Steve Giles.

@benthos@mastodon.sdf.org That Wicked Lady album is particularly feral, a real trip. When I first heard it in the early 90s, it sounded so out of time - I had a hard time believing it wasn't some sort of recently-recorded, retro heavy prank.
