The extraordinary losses of facilities and materials, not to forget a more than usual loss of staff, is due to Russian satellite reconnaissance and Russian improvements of rocket artillery and drones. The Trump gov now needs a way out. Charging off the Ukraine campaign is way cheaper than losing Middle East. The Diesel deal is a step towards it.
