@billrey@graphics.social @avakining@hachyderm.io It indeed does use Icon Composer, and every layer is rendered with the glass effect — it's just subtle.
I chose not to make the glass icon look radically different, since it has looked approximately like this for a decade and people really like it.

Right now the current icon looks out of place in both iOS 18 and also on iOS 26 https://developer.apple.com/design/human-interface-guidelines/app-icons Btw I’m happy to help with the icon for free :)
