One thing Canberrans suck at in general is car spacing in stationary traffic.
The absolute disrespect to the people behind you of leaving 1 to 2 car lengths in front of you clear...
Maybe it's the 'see the wheels of the car in front of you' guidance that doesn't work on giant SUVs and non-6ft drivers.
I dunno.
Just watched traffic block up for 300m because the turn lane was blocked by someone leaving 2 car lengths in front of of the car clear as they were 2nd at the lights

@Taco_lad@aus.social As someone who has been rear-ended more than once by fuckwits who got up close and personal then got hit from behind by other fuckwits, I can only say that I am grateful to any driver who leaves a decent gap between the rear of my car and the front of theirs. At least until the car behind them has come to a full stop. I now leave at least a car length between my car and the next, and I wait in traffic with the brake full on.
