Predawn
9am in mid-November at 66° north, and Siglufjörður is awake. The sun rises in about an hour, but will only reach about 6° above the horizon at meridian.
It's been a frozen night, about -12°C / 10°F and the forecast is for sub-zero temperatures all day. Sunny but cold, just how we like it.
Later we'll be setting off for another day of adventures but, for now, I've stopped to enjoy the peaceful morning and the lights reflected in the rippled water of the harbour.
