In my state of PA, many data centers have been/are being built/are proposed. Since PA is the largest exporter of electricity to other states, and since there are quite a few abandoned factories and in areas, relatively cheap land, it makes it an attractive location. Additionally, a huge number of warehouses are going up, while shopping malls are being repurposed/redeveloped as commercial activity has moved on-line and PA's location is pretty good from a distribution perspective. 1/2
