Played around with #Littlefedi yesterday, some gotchas that caught me off guard that I could patch: - No account lookup API, was very easy to figure out how to add this and it was my first change - Account creation was returning the account info JSON, I needed it to return a user (oauth) access token instead. Harder to figure out, but another code path was creating one such token so at the end was easy to create a patch for. There is some missing functionality that I am not sure if it is patchable/the maintainers want merged: - Importing posts by using a past scheduled_at is not working here as it did on GoToSocial, there is a post import feature somewhere in the source code but I want post import to somehow be/feel realtime. Removing the old scheduled_at allows the creation, but I didn't find a way to set the post date to be in the past, plus such posts probably shouldn't be federated as they are being imported.. Hmm.. I need more time on this patch as I was coding from neovim running on a Pixel phone, and there is only enough patience left in me for that to work without AI shenanigans, and it would be a disgrace to use AI on this very pure, well written, well documented software.
