Beware of politicians pinning it all on Netanyahu. This is an attempt to save Israel. This is nothing new. Liberals have always done this throughout history. They put all the blame on individuals to cover up the root cause of these constantly reoccuring wars and genocides. Netanyahu isn’t the problem. Israel is. The West is. Imperialism is. Capitalism is. Would you agree most Russians are also responsible for the invasion of Ukraine?

Israels occupation of Gaza and the west bank is wrong. But, where are you getting this 90% figure? Highest I could find was 65%. Not that any support is acceptable. Or are we just taking instagram memes on face value? It feels like this meme is really trying to encourage hate for people just based on where they were born.

When you thought Netanyahu is the problem, but then check other Israeli political parties, and turns out he’s among the least extreme. And has better approval ratings than Hitler had towards the end of the war. Even Gadi Eisenkot - Israel’s most likely next prime minister, whose party is apparently centrist - says any plans of a two-state solution are, quote, ‘delusions’, and openly supports the so-called settlers. The more you learn about Israel, the better you’ll see there’s no hope for it.

Not only Netanyahu, there is also the Zionist parties and the opression of all not-zionist media in Israel. A hugh part of the population are not even aware of the genocide. Same as in the US 30% still vote for Trump, because they are in a bubble from mass media like FOX News. The problem is always the ignorance and fears created by certain colectives in own benefits. Dictatorships and faschism wouldn’t work with an educated and correct informed population.

  • I’m just going to take a wild guess and assume we have similar numbers of people who do not support the existence of Israel and people who do not support the existence of Palestine. The hardliners of both would happily exterminate the other side. It’s being that way for longer than the state of Israel has existed. For now, Israel has the whip hand. But that won’t last forever. And I don’t expect any better behavior from the other side when it changes. It’s an ongoing tragedy that there is no simple fix for.

That’s what Netanyahu is for, that’s what Trump is for. They are scapegoats, sineaters to absorb the blame. None of what they want could happen without a LOT of powerful, filthy-rich people behind them. Re this issue, Israelis know that their lives depend on victory, as do the Palestinians. There is no “two-state” solution. They are both dedicated to the destruction of the other. All of them? Of course not. But fundamentalist Islam and Judaism both ironically agree on “from the river to the sea”, they both believe that it is ordained by God. History has proved that you can burn Jerusalem to the ground, and the fundies (including Christians) will proudly fight over the rubble.

Of course it’s Netanyahu’s fault! Israel was a much nicer state when its prime minister was the founder of the terrorist group Irgun, or the leader of the terrorist group Lehi. It’s just one bad apple, not the whole tree that is rotten! /s
