I thought about it, and here are some serious reasons why #CarolVorderman should hold back in the first #ClactonOnSea by-election and let @CountBinface@mastodon.world have the first go.
Yes: 1st by-election. Per ¶40 of the Protocol approved by the House of Commons, #NigelFarage winning the 1st by-election allows the standards commissioner's investigation to be un-suspended, and could result in a *second* by-election should the Committee on Standards then so decide.

1. #CountBinface has already declared (as of 15:19 BST today) as a unity candidate. https://mastodon.scot/@JdeBP/116880095978834495 The only people left to state a position, as I write this, are the Greens and any other potential unity candidate such as #CarolVorderman. It's daft to split a 'unity' vote. Yes, the Count is satirical, whereas Vorderman would be serious. But that brings me on to point 2. #ClactonOnSea #UKPolitics #NigelFarage
