How in the world did you ever take the snake out? I'm not sure I could make myself pick it up. I'd probably sweep/push it into a wastebasket to carry it.
Do you have opossums where you are? We have quite a few, which is great because they eat lots and lots of ticks.

@Sharonbw@mastodon.online @kateiacy@universeodon.com @jadevol@mastodon.world It was small so it wasn't as scary as it might have been, and I was afraid it would get away if I tried anything else. I put a thick glove on and grabbed it when it was in the middle of a standoff with Annie-the-Cat.
