  @PhoenixSerenity@beige.party One of my most memorable interactions last year was sitting next to a Cantonese-speaking Vietnamese lady on the bus from Niagara Falls to Toronto, so a couple hours. She was my parents' age, and we had such a lovely chat about her retired life, her kids my age in the suburbs, and her elderly Vietnamese line dancing crew. One of them had to move to a retirement home, but she loved making big dinners and hosting parties so much, she kept doing it at the retirement home! I love hearing about community like this. Your mom is a bit older, but hanging out at your home reminded me of this other person.
