@debby@hear-me.social I'd have more faith if they'd also tested folks w/ non-fatiguing illnesses Plus this, from Chris Ponting: "Unfortunately, the 2026 study’s claims are impossible to evaluate because the computational methods they used are proprietary, locked within black boxes they term EpiSwitch® Analytical and Data Portals, Knowledgebase and Orion v1 anchor detection. Researchers are thus disallowed from reproducing this study independently." @debby@hear-me.social I'll add that I really want the results from this research study to be true (I've had ME/CFS since January 1990) but I can't help but be a bit skeptical. I think biggest breakthrough in ME/CFS research that we've had lately is the DecodeME genetic study from last year: https://mecfsresearchreview.me/2025/08/11/decodeme-x-marks-the-spot-where-me-cfs-biology-can-be-discovered/ The next step for genetic research would be the Sequence ME & Long Covid study: https://www.actionforme.org.uk/research-campaigns/our-research-work/sequenceme-long-covid/ #MEcfs #LongCovid

@ahimsa_pdx@disabled.social Thank you for sharing. I’m disappointed, science should be open. Locking it behind Intellectual Property is a disservice to both science and humanity!
