This individually targeted advertisement shit is ABSOLUTELY designed to avoid accountability. Asking only known old people these questions means most aren't given a chance to be aware of it.
Amazon wanted to sell your dad drugs without his family knowing it, without the media catching on, and without any evidence existing in spaces they do not control.

@Epic_Null@infosec.exchange @ClimateJenny@biodiversity.social It is remarkably nefarious and this is exactly how I read this situation. I've had an echo ever since I broke my leg, and my husband likes it (this is an ongoing fight ... ) anyway it has once tried to upsell us on news "would you like me to give you the headlines each morning?" I was horrified by this my husband just said no and I think he still doesn't understand why it freaked me out so much.
