1/ I’ve been thinking about how the uproar over #reneegood murder stems from the innate social contract (that whiteness has enjoyed) with police being broken. That it took a “perfect victim” for people to see the police state for what it has *always been* is in itself a tragedy. Being “tough on crime” for decades has led the US to this moment. There is a reason you hear “Fuck the police” and not “Fuck the EMTs”. The question before the country now is what to *do* about it
