Three years ago today…Jomo Electric Railway 100 series in Gunma Prefecture. Introduced in 1928, it is known as the oldest train in Japan for mainline use (excluding trams). It runs a few times a year when someone charters it.

@networker_365@famichiki.jp If you mean the first 電車, then that would be EMU, right? Although, being a single carriage and from a hundred years ago, the formal term would have probably been motor car. It looks a bit precarious on that bridge!
