@bytebro@mastodonapp.uk Ford in the US recently had to hire back about 350 engineers that had been let go as AI was used for 'design and quality control' in their place. In the first half of 2026... ford had more vehicle recalls than just about everyone else combined as the system didn't fucking work... and they had to rehire the people they fired to 'retrain' the systems to be more efficient... so they can refire them again once they've done so. If that was me... I'd tell them to fuck of if they wanted me back... or with such a large salary and contractual terms that prohibited them from firing me without a large compensation package. @dahukanna@mastodon.social
