Its okay not to get it, but your doubling down on some nonsense. A persons behavior during active use usually carries a lot of shame. Its not unusual to want to tell some of colorful stories from that part of a persons life, especially if they are now living in recovery. I hate this guy as much as the next but saying his boasting about a pretty tame drug story does more to hurt addicts than anyone just isn’t true. And on top of that its simply more stigma. What you are implying is that a person who has done that has no business being in [insert respectful career].
