i try to be pretty upbeat about things but tbh i just don't think the human brain was designed to be made constantly aware that millions of people absolutely hate you for who you are and take some sort of sick delight in cruelty towards you, y'know

@folduptoys I saw this pointed out on social media elsewhere - nowhere in any point in human history have we ever had to hear so many other people's voices. Even in the 90s it was limited to real life mostly, maybe a few TV shows/news. And I feel the need to withdraw offline and yet ... i can't? people I care about are here? It's so painful either way.
