@afewbugs@social.coop Sure, numbers need to be limited by not stressing the soil and rivers with waste, but also compatible with all chickens being reasonably happy and healthy.
And that needs to apply to imports. No point in exporting animal misery and ecological damage.

@BashStKid@mastodon.online @afewbugs@social.coop Presumably also will depend on what the chickens are fed? And how close packed they are and needing antibiotics etc? I’m guessing free range small groups are much less of an issue.
