VOY S5 E9 & E11 Editor's note: And now we skip deep into Season 5, with this laconic comment on "Thirty Days": Voyager keeps wanting me to think Tom Paris is an interesting character, but it's not working. "Latent Image" gets a little more exposition: I just got to VOY S5E11: "Latent Image". I had clocked the basic idea pretty quickly; when someone is rewriting your memories, it's probably Janeway doing it for your own good. But the "why" got much more interesting than what I had supposed (e.g., perhaps wiping everyone's memories was the deal they made with the aliens). And the resolution... instead of resetting the grid matrix or reversing the holoimager or whatever gobbledegook, they just have him literally *sit* with his moral dilemma and work on it, and not even really resolve things, that was a good ending, not what I was expecting at all. A really superior Star Trek episode. #VOY #startrek
