@pmjv @xChaos @FeloniousPunk I read the Solomon story as a gamble that the real mother would speak up, the ruse hopefully pre-arranged with whoever would have carried out such a brutal sentence, so the kid would never truly have been at risk. But maybe that's a naïve view. Regarding the decision capability question, I want any moral decision that is made with limited oversight to be made by someone with a conscience. Are you suggesting we might need a heartless ruler sometimes?
