I'd obviously prefer to point at a proper web site if one can be set up and we can be sure it will stay for years to come.

I understand your intentions @andybalaam@mastodon.social , but does it really work. Will it really stop them from using your work or contributing to it Andy ? Maybe I don't fully understand....

@andybalaam@mastodon.social I have also seen people putting similar things into an agents.md to tell the machines to not interact with the project as well, so might be something worth doing so both humans and bots get the message

@andybalaam@mastodon.social Curious: 1. What's the benefit to having a separate NOAI.MD as opposed to saying "No AI" in README.MD? I suppose a separate MD file is easier to spot and it helps if one wants to describe terms of "No AI", but what would/could the terms be other than saying "No AI?" 2. If we only mean to say "No AI", I suppose NOAI.MD could be just a marker file, with no need for any actual content. 3. If NOAI.MD describes anything more than just "No AI" (say, "AI Use" in general), it seems like it could be human-readable version of something like TDMRep.json. Again, I mention these points out of curiosity and intent to learn. 🙏 https://www.w3.org/community/reports/tdmrep/CG-FINAL-tdmrep-20240202/
