@joepie91@fedi.slightly.tech I think thats just how the whole business bro crowd thinks in general. They are prematurely accepting the #broligarchy to reduce congitive dissonance, so they can focus on trying to hustle up some money

@joepie91@fedi.slightly.tech The kind of people who want total individual freedom AND zero involvement, so they'd rather have an authoritarian structure enforcing it because it promised them it would be nice The intersection with fascism enablers is way too high

@joepie91@fedi.slightly.tech I want to recommend Capitalist Realism book from Mark Fisher just from this post alone. It is pretty much commentary on "capitalist realism" ideology and how overtime it has installed a business ontology in which society then views everything as needing to run like a business or for the purpose of capital. And yeah... we are fully in the stage people will view students as customers, patients as patrons, schools as a business, people as resources. This is the framing that these people have of the world and how they understand it. What these same people either don't realise, don't want to understand or struggle to understand is that you don't have to have that world view or play by those rules. You can exist and not be a business. Codeberg seems understand this and I am for them telling those people to go fuck themselves and cry about the businesses, that push for everything to be a business, which in turn can barely function as a business. Y'know... The tech companies.
