To use Proton VPN, you need to have an account, but if you use it via the extension in the Vivaldi browser, then you likely started using it with your Vivaldi account.
Have you tried logging in to your Proton account with that (please note that you need to use your Vivaldi account's recovery email, not your Vivaldi username/email)?

@Vivaldi@social.vivaldi.net Well that's complicated. I've managed to log in now using the email address that used to be my Vivaldi recovery email befote I changed it. And I've changed the recovery address there too. Lets hope that updates their mailing list.
