I still use a Macbook because I am used to macOS and - most of all - because the battery life on Apple chips is just outstanding. But with the new macOS 27 ("Golden Gate") Apple is baking surveillance and data synthetisers ("AI") even deeper into it's OS which - to me - reaches the point where I can no longer sufficiently trust the machine. I still run macOS 15 ("Sequoia") but when I am forced to update eventually this will probably be the end of using a Mac. This sucks.
