Listening to an old James O'Brien episode from a few weeks ago asking why the massive reduction in inward migration to the UK doesn't please the anti-immigration far right. They don't believe that it's true, despite the data coming from the same places they quoted when the figures were higher. My guess is that they don't believe it because they don't see their lives getting better. The fash thesis is, "your life sucks because of immigrants". If your life still sucks, the "problem" persists.
