I was specifically wondering about a word for a sequence of different shades (hues, tints) of a single color. Also a spectrum?

@clew@ecoevo.social not sure. There must be a word to convey a range of values of the same hue. if they are lined up or blended going from light to dark, you can call that a gradient. A gradient can also change hues. But spectrum definitely conveys the idea of range
