I'm sure a bunch of white guys giving talks about how great DEI is without removing the sexist racists in charge of the convention will totally solve the demographic problem in computer science.

@janl@narrativ.es I hate rhetorical questions like: "I’m a white cis man, why am I made to feel like a problem?" Because this is just echoing the sealion mantra and taking it seriously. Speaking now as a cis white man: If, as a cis white man, DEI initiatives make you feel like the problem, that's kind of a sign that you actually are the problem.
