I bought an outdoor burner like one you would fry a turkey on. I just haven't ever used it because I've shifted to freezer methods instead of canning the last few years.

I want to go back to canning. Grandma taught me how and it just became a skill I didn't use because I was always either on the road or didn't have a garden to fuel it. I remember when she died they cleaned out her storage and we were eating 10 year old beef stew mixes and canned jelly and stuff. If its sealed right that stuff lasts indefinitely and the quality stays high
