Russia is hiding all the plague victims? Seriously?

Mostly hype. Plague isn’t that virulent with modern precautions and antibiotics, and Russia’s response has been to swiftly quarantine hundreds of people. Plague occurs naturally on occasion, and is largely a known threat. Most of the hype has been speculation around this case being a bioweapon combined with distrust in Russian institutions generally. I’m not one to trust Russia generally, but I don’t see much evidence that this is more than a nothing burger blown out of proportion by growing anti-Russia sentiment due to their invasion of Ukraine.
