@edavies@functional.cafe a related pet peeve of mine, people routinely calling kilowatt-hours "kilowatts". And that's not just pedantic, as both different units are commonly used in the same context, so it's actually confusing.

@isagalaev@mastodon.social Yes, watching sailing or off-grid type videos and having somebody talking about “100 amp” batteries and really not being able to tell if they actually mean batteries rated to produce 100 A or if they mean batteries with a capacity of 100 Ah. The error is so common expressions either way are ambiguous without more context.
